
The Juliet Van Ruyven Story of Success


IIf her name is mentioned, one thing surely comes to mind of most people “Oh, she’s rich because she married a foreigner”. But Juliet succeeded because of her determination, positivity, energy and passion. Juliet was a little girl from Batangas. She’s the second eldest in a family of 12children. They were living in a 1-room nipa hut in the village. During the younger years, Juliet was helping her family by selling fruits and milk to other villages. Jhet always believes in her own potential. She finished her college education in an exclusive school for girls thru the kindness of the priest. In return, she had to clean offices and wash dishes and the laundry. She became an OFW in Yemen Arab Republic in 1984 where she had a chance to meet Mother Theresa when she was volunteering at sisters of charity in Yemen. She also meet a dutch man who became her husband later on. Juliet and her husband migrated to Canada. When she was expecting her first daughter, she computer tutorial services. She then decided to work full time when she had her second daughter. With her skills, she became the top performing sales executive and was sent to different places in the US, Canada and the Caribbean. She decided to open a digital and graphic design company where it became successful. She was named Businesswoman of the year. Her company also printed her book “The Tale of Juliet” that became the best seller in North America, The Philippines and other countries. After reading her story, she was featured Philippine TV show’s “Rated K”, TFC and she was also invited at the Office of the President. She was named as People of the Year by People’s Asia Magazine for spreading inspiration to the world. At present, Jhet have traveled all continents of the world but Antarctica. She continues inspiring the world through her story. She always believes that all of us have a power to change our lives. She met Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen of Chicken Soup for the Soul and other inspiring and life-changing people such as Robert Kiyosoki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Now, Juliet owns a 4-storey house in Canada where she describes as paradise as she wakes up overlooking the White Rock beach in Beautiful British Columbia.
Jhet is giving seminars to the Philippines that you or your family might want to join. She was in the Philippines in December 2013 as a speaker at Bo Sanchez’ Kerygma conference and will be back there again to inspire fellow Filipinos along with the other inspiring author and entrepeneur, Sha Nacino.

You probably knew her. You probably heard her name. You probably read her on newspapers and websites and you probably have seen her on TV.ovelyn Bayubay Revilla from Buburay A writer, blogger and proud Inday She has a good heart and talent A good friend, wife and parent Jovelyn or Inday Ya Jo is a household worker in the Middle East. She’s a mother to her intelligent son Kenneth and a wife to her husband Marlon who is also an OFW in Qatar where Jovelyn is working for three years now. Revilla didn’t finish her college education but she never stopped dreaming (and taking actions to reach her dreams). She left the Philippines to give her family a better future at the age of 22. Her first destination was United Arab Emirates where she worked for 5 years straight. Her found another employment abroad in Qatar where she was physically and verbally abused. She asked from her employer to bring her back to the agency. It was then she met her present employer who understands and supports her in everything she does. Inday Ya Jo likes to write fiction and true stories. She blogs at Definitely Filipino, writes a column at Pilipino Star Ngayon and constantly posting on her facebook wall and page the articles that are full of wit,moral values and inspirations. It was in April 2012 when she met a US-based publisher who compiled all her stories into a book. Masaya Din, Malungkot Din is a collection of stories of domestic workers in the Middle East. During the same month, she became part of the Definitely Filipino Bloggers International family- a group of writers for the Definitely Filipino website. Her story was featured on TFC Middle East Edition few months after. Facebook helped her met OFW writers including Raquel Delfin Padilla or Racz Kelly who eventually became her co-author on her next book Sindi ng Lampara. Just like her first book, it is also a compilation of OFW stories and DFBI members are the contributors. The book just won an award at the Migration Advocacy and Media Awards 2013 as best book on Migration given by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas.Madam Lina, Inday Jo’s employer, designed the cover of the book who also let her continue her passion in writing. She even shared her real life story as a cancer survivor so Jo could write and share it to her friends and followers online. During calamities in the Philippines, our Super Inday is always ready to help. She became a headline to the world during the Typhoon Yolanda devastation in the Philippines for starting a “Handog Katok ng mga Inday” which is a project of her Handog Ngiti ng Mga Inday in Qatar. At present, she is a regular columnist at Pilipino Star Ngayon Middle East Edition. Jovelyn’s message to everyone, be proud of who you are and keep on dreaming.
